Subject: New year, new rules for our photo comp. (2023). Mon Nov 28, 2022 8:50 am
Photo competition Rules.
Comp will open the 1st of each Month
Comp closes on the 21st of the month. (This allows three weeks for members to get entries in).
Vote will open on the 22nd of every month, and run for 6 days.
Result will be posted around the 6 or 7th of the following month, depending on days in the month.
All entries must contain at least a vam/mam or 1/6 figure, though all other figures and scales can appear in addition.
No rude entries will be allowed.
No themes, Just great photo's
Please do not repeat entries.
Votes for our photo of the month will run for 6 days into the following month before poll closes.
in cases of joint winners a shorter deciding vote will be held, to decide the winner, if no winner is determined, both entries will be entered into the "Best of Best" photo comp at the end of the year
Have fun and be creative guys !!!!

It sounds like everything about the photo contest remains the same, pretty much, except for a reduced posting window: the cut-off date for submissions is now the 21st of each month rather than the last day of each month.
It seems to me like this will serve to "tighten up" the timeline of the monthly contests, with less overlap with the following month. In theory, this might provide more of a sense of "momentum," like things are moving along -- enhanced excitement and fun as a result of a faster pace.
Okay... I'm reading too much in to this.
Will the new rules apply starting with the January 2023 contest?

Indeed, forgot to implement that, changes start in January 2023

"No themes, Just great photo's"
I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "themes" in this context. Can you elaborate a little bit for us old, slow guys?
Thanks,
RR

Unlike photo contests on some figure, toy, or doll forums, the monthly contests at the AMMO forum never have an assigned prompt or "Theme of the Month." For example, the current month is December, but the photo contest does not have a "Christmas," "Winter," or "Holidays" theme. October did not have a "Halloween" or "Autumn" theme. Nor are random themes assigned, like: This month's photo contest theme is the color blue – include something blue in your photo or Next month the theme will be 'adorable kittens' and each submission must include an adorable kitten.
Instead, every month is open to whatever photo you'd like to submit (within the "decency requirements" of the forum hosting company, 'natch), as long as it is somehow action figure related and in 1/6 (or close enough) scale – and the definition of "action figure" for purposes of the contest is pretty broad. Yes, Barbie qualifies (as long as she's doing action figure-y stuff), GI Joe or Action Man, seamless figures, super heroes, and even Max Steel.

Hey, Scottish.Actionman! Welcome to the forum!
Did you mean to post the tank image in the current Photo of the Month topic? If so, you will find it here:
