Great tutorial. I'm trying to work out how big the dio is. I'm estimating about 12 X 18 inches....would that be about right?

You're off by a bit. The width is 24", the depth is 16" and the walls are 20" high. The foam core backs of the walls are pinned into one another using steel cocktail pics.

The point of the exercise is to demonstrate how easy it is to build something like this, especially to members who would like to have some sort of diorama but don't think they have the skill or money or the patience to do what Dal and some others do.

An extremely effective use of flat pack setting Gary. Well done mate. It's always the small details that sell a great diorama, but also being able to make the most of using a small space effectively which you have demonstrated here perfectly cheers .

It isn’t just about the small space. It’s about the ease and low cost of putting this together, as well as the importance of putting in some details like the table and chairs. It seems odd to me to collect figures, then posing or photographing them without an appropriate background.
