Hey Nate, all I know about the safari jeep is it was originally made in Spain (which this one is, a true original), it now resides at beetlefan HQ, so I am afraid you will have to wait for beetlefan to answer the question my friend

I think that was the last of the injection molded Jeeps. The one after that was blow molded.
