.....This here is my next project...A real disaster...The wind screen is cracked straight thru.The corner is cracked although still intacked but very weak...I will have to strengthen it up....Not much I can do with it....My thoughts are to smooth it out the best that I can and pick up some of that mirrored car window tint....I have looked at the cost of the mirrored tint and it is quite expensive...There is a tint shop two minutes from my home...I will stop by and see if they will sell me some at a fair price...Walter Badly Damaged Space Capsule Repair 001

Good luck trying to fix that Walt!
I dropped my Space Capsule a few years back, luckily it only cracked along the base/seam but almost split in two! A dab of superglue soon sorted it out, but I have learned to handle with care!!! Embarassed

OH NO!!

You must have felt terrible Johnny....At least It was fixable....I bought this one already broken quite a few years ago with the intentions of replacing the window....As I quickly found out with the red custom that I am working on....Its next to impossible without causing SO much damage that it wasn't worth it...I came across this mirrored tint today on the net...fairly inexpensive...I spoke to the salesman and showed him what I needed it for...He says that as long that its not going to be exposed to the rain constantly,I can use it on the exterior of the window.....Walter Badly Damaged Space Capsule Repair %2524T2eC16JHJG%2521E9nm3pm%252CSBRP3-1WrDw%257E%257E60_57

I fixed my windscreen I used the mirrored window tint.The biggest part was creating a template using six sections of thin card board....The last picture,Joe notices that he forgot to shave today...LOL Walter Badly Damaged Space Capsule Repair 004

I went to mess with my space capsule the other day and noticed that the window tint was starting to bubble up.....DUP!! I peeled it off and made a watered down mixture of Elmer's glue.I reset the tint and three days later the glue dried with wonderful results...A very nice tightly mirrored windscreen...If you recall,I did this because the window was badly cracked.Wally Badly Damaged Space Capsule Repair 068
