| I have NO heads to play with but ive often wondered if a few seconds in the microwave would soften the glue enough to scrape!! Just in idea! _________________ | |

I will try this at some point. I've melted MAMs in a microwave before (intentionally) to make Zombies. Great fun!!

| I have tried all 3 of those ways and found the oven cleaner method easily the best. Some heads just seem to be stubborn bas***ds and I don't think it would matter which method you use the glue just sometimes is a nightmare and kills the old hands trying to scrap it off. I have done heaps and found soaking the head in oven cleaner for 2 nights and the flock scraps of in minutes sometimes seconds. I found the least foamy oven cleaner the better (does that sound right), which is easy off down here. Theres probably a generic brand thats even better. I have had a couple of ee heads that the oven cleaner has destroyed the eyes on though, not all but just a couple for some strange reason and on both heads it was just one eye. Its great fun flocking, good luck with it Dan. I can't wait to see a few result. Now I just thought that the price of heads has probably just gone again as your another that will be chasing heads. LOL A few heads waiting to be flocked and a couple of recent EE new flocks. | |

| Ah, the flock removal, fun isn't it? I've found generally the EE heads are the easiest to deflock. Some fixed eye heads are just plain stubborn, I think it's just down to the glue mix that they used on the day. Wait till you try to deflock one you have flocked Good luck with it Dan. | |

| Right then lads here we go I put the glue on my 1st ever chap to be flocked............................................ I filled the hopper with blonde flock (Only done this because i dont have to mix the colour . Inserted the battery and waved it all over his head whilst pressing the button and it just fell out and stuck to his head Then i noticed i hadnt switched it on so quickly switched it on and waved it again like mad and this was the finished result.. NOW PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR HONEST OPINIONS AS ITS NICE OF YOU TO SAY WELL DONE GREAT STUFF BUT I NEED FEEDBACK ON THIS PROJECT DOES THE FLOCK LOOK OK ON THE HEADS ETC ANY POINT NO MATTER HOW HUGE OR TRIVIAL YOU MAY THINK IT IS I NEED TO KNOW SO I CAN CORRECT AND GET BETTER THANKS | |

Save the technique as a variation. Rick |

| Do not try and trim the flock till its dry! Give it 24 hours. Yes there are always long bits mixed up with it. A great start. Darker colours are easier IMO.

| Well I'm impressed Dan ! I have often thought of doing this myself as it would save a fortune overall. I'd be more than happy to send some over to you as I think the only improvements to be made are that of your own personal opinions & you'll be your worst critic . You have to find that balance of where you feel comfortable & able to say , yep he's a good one I'd happily sell anywhere. For me , I think for the 1st time out . You've pretty well nailed down this flocking business , As long as you turn it on of course lol.
Great flock work , be happy . I bloody would be ! _________________ Play nicely !

| Looking good there Dan,the flock on the left hand looks to be a bit thin not sure if this is because the flock is standing up and not flattened out a liitle yet or if it needs a tad more if you understand me . _________________ There is pleasure in recognising old things from a new viewpoint.
