| really impressed Danny
You can see in the progression of the 3 heads a definite improvement - was the flock longer on the first? also by the 2nd and 3rd you can see where you have been more careful applying the glue round the ears & neckline
looking forward to seeing your browns/blacks/ with salt & pepper beards...etc etc - the world is now your oyster my friend - enjoy! and keep posting the results!!! |

| Hi Bob I can Pm you the site where i buy the flock no problem or i could even send you some as its not one colour you have to blend three sometimes four colours together to reach the correct shade This is probably because Palitoy kept adding different mixes to the machine and i have discovered its not manafactured like paint so beige may be one shade on the first order and completely different on the second order If you flock without the flocking machine the flock with just go on flat and look awful you need the machine so it stands up on end and blends in with the rest of the head I have made a probe for this sort of repar and it works very well with the 1st machine i bought but for a whole reflock ive had to but a professional flocker BRING ON THE NOGGINS | |

| Great Work Dan. The camera can make the flocking job look a little thin, wait till you try white flock. I am no expert but have found sifting the flock first, using plenty of flock and also making sure you have a really good connection with your earth on the glue can help coverage a lot. With my Machine you can normally hear whether you are doing a nice flock by the sound, the better the earth connection the better the sound. I use a clothes depiller to cut the long strands off, I found it in the sewing box and thought i'd give it a go and it works really well, so I have claimed that of my wife. Make sure as Brian said you allow the glue to dry for a couple of days before attempting to cut and trim any of the flock though. Whilst the glue is wet you can give the head a bit of styling. I gently brush the flock in different directions to give it a bit more realiism, like the moustache you can brush it down. I shouldn't say brush it, I use a skewer to shape and just to pat it down a little in the direction it would normally grow with a little icecream stick. You can do the same for beards but be carefull not to flatten any of the rest of the flock. Its great seeing the end results. Great job again Dan. Which flock removal process did you find the best? Have fun with it. Darren | |

| Dan WOW mate I have been looking at this post all week and it just gets better and better. Well done mate, I have to say that I am not a big lover of reflocks, they never seem to look right to me. All much to perfect. Where in my opinion, it was the ladies on the production line painting on the glue ready for the flocking who had no experience of painting etc, it wasn't as precise and there were never two the same. Not saying Dan that you have no skill or that you're a lady, I love the fat flocker though, you my friend, have got it right. They look to be in the style of the original. So reflocks will be entering my collection now. I'd also like to say thank you to Brian (Sparklebudgie) for helping Dan out with his questions. It's good of you mate - it's good to share, thank you. |

| Well here is the second attempt i have learned alot doing these ones so im very pleased especially with the coverage I am still thinking that the beards are a touch bushy so im thinking paint the glue on maybe half the size of what you want the moustache to be ??? I tried to flock the eyebrows but that didnt work ????????? Anyways heres the 2nd run God knows why the blonde looks so yellow it isnt and is very close to the original colour but the light in the conservatory is super duper weird so no letters please on the colour LOL Before Shots (then had a good shave clean and dabs of zit cream for 48 hours ) Dals brown eyed fella stripped off the 1mm custom flock and refitted the brown eyes so they moved like eagle eyes | |

| They look grand Dan
A stiffer brush will indeed work for the finer detail, I only know this from my days of model making and painting!
Brown eyes, very different, but like it, like the idea of changing the eye colour
Beard looks fine to me, bushy is good
Well now I have my flocker, special thanks to you Dan, I have some flock, glue, and an old head to fudge up!!! All intentions is to have a go this week!!, still got to order the rest of the flock, the one I have, I got as a pack in the States! so not sure what it will come out like, but the test will be part of the fun lol
But I'm sure my first attempts will not be as good as yours or what i have seen, but I will sure post the pics | |

| I agree with the other lads Dan, you have done really well so far. As for the bushy beard, well that is personal preference ?? Looks good to me . I am sure with more practice each one will get better and better and by the sounds of it Vaughan has a shed load for you to practice on . Keep up the good work mate | |
