Eagle eyed Repairs

This chap didn't have much going for him, his eyes did not work and his head rattled. (not to mention that hairline!).


I split his head along the original seam and all the bits fell out.








Just glued the two halves together and when dry refitted it to the head. Its quite straight forward.



Just waiting for some glue on the head now!


It works a treat.

He finally made it to the reflock shed;

Other than put it in a nut cracker, how did you split the head Brian ?

i used a sharp knife on the seam, once you start opening him it becomes easier. Just take your time.

Thanks for the guide on how to open up the head.

I was just going to post asking if anyone had performed open head surgery on an EE head but thought I would check first and found this.
I have just got a head with one eye pushed back, I haven't had a proper chance to see if there is an easy fix, but if the worse comes to the worse I will open him up.
