Ok so the deed is done the cabinet is in flames, (probably the fag from the TC) and the survivors didn't even look back.......

There were a couple of surprises, Just as Jean Claude my French Resistance fighter was about to jump into the jeep Hank my combat soldier reminded him he had forgotten his newly restored Camo morse radio. The other shock came as TC ordered my basic soldier to stand easy whilst he took the drivers seat.

So........ My Childhood Tom Stone was first in the Jeep closely followed by my second issue medic, just in case there were burns to treat. My first issue medic was a bit slow of the mark and didn't have a flag or the correct number of medical splints so was ordered back to the cabinet. Next up Hank my Combat Soldier for sheer playability and he's also my best mates childhood figure and a some of the outfit was from Ade. Also my best mates childhood figure the British Officer, didn't think I liked this outfit till I got it. Lastly TC who wouldn't have a TC in their top five?????

Think the choice would have been different in the winter as my mountain and arctic troops would have been better equipped and faster off the mark.... Was surprised the Para's and RMP's never got out the cabinet in time too, Maybe one of the Para's flew out using his turbo copter, I know that's cheating!!!!!!!!Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Araf!!

well that is without question the most eclectic mix of figures I have ever seen leaving a burning building in a racecar... and quite frankly I don't think I'll see another group like it in my life...

now that is a response to the TKQ5!!Twisted Evil

Well........this was my final selection.

As I have none of my original childhood VAM these are some of the figures and outfits I have collected to replace my favourite childhood VAM.

All are Fuzz Head Grippers, my favourite figures.

The Basic Soldier. So iconic to me, I had a few of these as a child.
Blonde Beardy Adventurer. Loved this figure and still do, very basic but very striking outfit.
Tom Stone. I think this was the last figure I ever got as a child and a firm favourite.
Tank Commander. I got this one Christmas along with the Scorpion Tank, great outfit.
Secret Mission To Dragon Island. Great play value outfit, couldn't believe how hard this was to get hold of when I started collecting.

Their method of escape is the Molto Safari Jeep. I had this as a child as well and got this one through a swap with Del Bo.....I mean Dal. lol!

Brilliant idea for a thread, guys. Amazing photos and figures -- funny stuff!!!

I have precious few precious (vintage) figures, so this wasn't quite as hard for me. Limiting it to one vehicle was a little hard, and I don't have that Rover...yet.

I also picked my FHQ figure with a nod to Jim/Coalville. Those were some great times! They aren't over yet, but things have really slowed down to a crawl. Thanks for inviting me here. This place is so busy it's impossible for me to keep up, but it's all great!!! My FHQ figure isn't as gray as the others, but he'll get there. Wink

MP: first figure I bought as an adult when the need was reawakened in me. Found him at an Antiques center.

Greg: Known to you as Tom Stone was bought for me by a friend at a Joe swap meet that I was not able to attend. Same friend also helped me to acquire the French resistance figure.

EE/MB: The Eagle Eye Muscle Body figure was a gift from a couple friends at another board. It was my first EE figure.

Thanks very much!!!
