| For those that are in the know, you'll know that my bearded VAM Frankie, was constructed from my childhood VAM body, but this time the rebuild is from the head and hands. I've acquired a nice late VAM 64 body for him and fitted his head and old hard hands to it. But it hasn't been as simple as that, as I decided to re-string the body in the process. I stripped out the elastic from a spare Cots body and set about replacing the old loose elastic with the nice 'newer' stuff! The result has been excellent. I also had to repair his right hand wrist which was split and very loose! I didn't give my childhood VAM a name, but now he is know as 'Tom K' which is an acronym, of sorts, of my AMMO username 'TheOneManKid'...  He is now the non-identical twin of Frankie...from one old broken Action Man, two restored ones have been born...  The next step is for a face clean, new eyebrows and a nice re-flock or maybe even a re-paint...  Here are few photos I took along the way... Here is Tom K with his new body before the re-string  Here is Tom K sitting down with his floppy right hand, making it look like some kind of esoteric sitting meditation  This is a photo of the cut O ring to get the elastic out of the Cots body  This is the Cots body in bits  This is the Cots elastic with Tom K's 'new' body  This is the re-strung legs and pelvis  This is Tom K re-strung, but still with his floppy right hand  This is Tom K with his hand stiffened up and half dressed in a Joe 40th flight suit that I've also repaired as the zipper was broken  _________________ RalphMe?
