I know this has been asked before but i cant find the link !can someone tell me how to identify the difference in the original medals to the 40th,something to do with the pressing i think.Thanks

cc are definitely Cotswold, there are some links on other sites which compare pics of repo and vintage, be very very careful if you are buying and be sure of what you are buying, some of the repos are very well done

Fellas, i know this is a very old thread, but i seem to remember that on the Silver Star repro medal, the two outer white lines on the ribbon went straight down (and off the edge so to speak)...and the original white lines followed the shape of the ribbon into a point.

You are probably wondering why i am looking through old posts, but i just love looking through this forum! Wink
