| Hi all, I am new here. I'd like to share with you some pics of my humble Falcon collection. All of them are in bad shape because yes, I was pretty small when I got them and I played A LOT with these figures. FALCON
My first Joe, known as "Falcon" in Brazil. He was pretty much the MAN OF ACTION with fuzzy hair, muscular body and Kung Fu Grip. I got this one in 1978, it was my first action figure as well. I recently discovered that my Falcon is actually the rarest kind to be found here, he is part of the very first wave of figures released by Estrela in '78! This is identified by "Falcon" and Estrela's logo on his back AND "CA" (Comandos em Ação, or Commandos in Action, Falcon's "division" name here) on his belt. Estrela changed that for a blank strip and their logo on his back and again their logo in his belt in the other waves and figures. A friend of mine, the very same who fixed the figures, told me this. Here is a little comparasion between my '78 Falcon and Hasbro reissue from 2006. You can check a very humble kitbash I did with this figure here: https://actionmanmobileops.forumotion.co.uk/t5686-man-of-hunting.TORAKTorak was created by Estrela as the "Enemy of Falcon". His head was totally new but his chest device was taken from SuperJoe's Commander. It was my second figure. Now, Torak's trunks were actually goldish. Mine was broken when I was very little and my grampa got this spare (originally from Falcon) with some seller and fixed it for me. That is why mine has this blue trunks and not the original gold one. Details about Torak were minimum at best, but one of LP discs with adventures claimed he was an alien invader. By the time that Falcon arrived here Sci Fi was a hit again thanks to Star Wars and Torak was designed based on that influence. BUT at this point the entire line was all about Adventure Team kits. [To be updated] I won my third Joe in 1980. He was basically the Land Adventurer with some futuristic gear. This was my third Joe and again, it was another creation by Estrela, mixing the Air Adventurer (mine had blonde hair) with futuristic gear AND a sidekick called ROBOY. I just discovered I lost his head and parts of his bodies when I moved. *The helmet is from my brother's. Mine has the glass broken. Condor was another character created by Estrela using the muscular body with different color, this time red. In their story, they explained that he, much like Falcon, was an agent but Torak destroyed his face. Falcon salved him and reconstructed his face with some robotic parts. Turned into a cyborg-like being named CONDOR, he decided help him against Torak. CONDOR was my last figure, I got him in 1983. This is what left from the EIGHT ROPES OF DANGER kit. As far as I remember, Estrela released it here with very few changes from the original kit. This is really a mess. Estrela mixed parts of GI Joe kits with ones from BIG JIM line here in Brazil and created this "Safari Adventure". The gorilla was originally released as part of Mattel's TARZAN then it was re-released as part of BIG JIM's JUNGLE ADVENTURE kit. The other parts were taken from mixed GI Joe and Big Jim adventure packs. PS/Edit: You can see the CA on the backpack, it stands for "Comandos em Ação" (Commandos in Action). Falcon was later known as the "Adventure's Collector" (Colecionador de Aventuras). Parts from multiples kits, including a broken Turbocopter.

| Thanks a lot, everyone! Well I always saw my collection as a very humble one... And since these were my toys when I was a kid, they are in bad shape so I didnt knew they would be so very much appreciated. I'd like to get any tips to fix them, please. We have some people who do this here, but they usually live in another state and d'uh I have no guts to send these figures to people I dont know. | |

| I know from experience that there are differences between action man / joe/ group action joe and possibly falcon figures. but I think with this basic guide, you may be able to adapt it to benefit your figures . https://actionmanmobileops.forumotion.co.uk/t148-how-to-re-string-a-bp-eeWhen I restring I always use 2mm elastic cord (bungee) as it is strong and works well . I hope this helps my friend | |

| A fascinating insight into what variations there are in the world of Joe in other counries! I'm liking the Condor very much, the sriking red body and black contrasting pants look very cool! It's giving me some ideas for a Modern Action Man (MAM) baddie custom! _________________ clivvers - saviour of the huMAM race @ MAMageddon 2009 - 2099 @ clivvers MAM Nation: | |

| What a fantastic childhood collection Falcon! As Dan said they are virtually impossible to get hold of here in the UK.
Cotswold Collectables were considering making a range of reproductions in conjunction with whoever now owns the Falcon copyright but there's been no further news on that for ages.
Your guys just need a bit of TLC and they'll be good as new. _________________ Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. | |

| Thank you, guys! This thing about Cotswold is new to me, when they announced that?
Some years ago, a group of fans here tried to contact Estrela in an effort to bring Falcon back. But that will be near impossible IMHO unless they reach an agreement with Hasbro like Modlersloft and Cotswold did. Estrela owns the brand ("Falcon", "Torak", "Condor") but the figures attached to it as we all know belong to Hasbro. But hey I really hope that Cotswold succeed and bring them back.
And what is TLC? | |

| Hi Falcon, Yes I collect modern Action Man (MAM) too! I also collect 'Max Steel' when I can find him. There's about 7 of us on this forum who like MAM, and probabaly a few others who don't like to admit they like MAM . This forum is also great for celebrating all types of other action figures (see Brandon's posts in the 'Off Topic' section) After you've made 250 posts you will be able to enter the 'A.M.M.O Arms Live chat room' (down in the basement) There's always some intresting live posts going on in there! from 7:00 pm GMT (uk time) till about 10:00pm, or anytime for our U.S and other cousins _________________ clivvers - saviour of the huMAM race @ MAMageddon 2009 - 2099 @ clivvers MAM Nation: | |
