| The mountie hat band is often missing, and I would bet it is quite rare to pick the band up on its own.
Whilst lookling at Sparky (Marks) post with his mountie on it struck me that electrical brown insulation tape comes in a similar shade of brown.
So if stuck I reckon you could make a passable attempt at a replacement.
Something to consider, the shade of brown varies from light brown to dark depending upon the manufacturer.
The stuff I have which looks suitable is made by Schneider Electric (formerly Tower).

| Whilst looking through my spares I came across a broken field telephone.
The shoulder strap from one of these would be a good source of a mountie hat band as it has buckle like the original has.
