Thank you, Jim. I'd like to hear some input about the feet/boots from you guys. Also, where I could find a gearbox figure for sale (I am possible looking for a Grant figure from cotswold). Of course, not counting with ebay or cotswold itself.

| I finally got the masterpiece head I wanted for this figure. This is a winner so far and I dropped the 40th anniversary Action Man head for good. The masterpiece head added a vintage flavor and the sculpt is GREAT. It screams classic GI Joe. Here is a test shot with bratoys helmet. Thing is, this helmet bothered me because it is too simple. So I though about adding googles on it some days ago. It was one of the best idead I had for this bash yet. Today i finally put my idea to test. The helmet looks great now, see for yourself. These are from playhouse. The helmet now looks vibrant and much more cool. It also has an more soldier-ish appeal. Also, I dont know if that is just me, but it added a RAH vibe on it. Cool characters like gen. Hawk and sgt. Airborne had googles on their helmets. The body is still a work in progress. I dropped that one from art figures and also the 40th anniversary GI Joe. I want more articulations and - if possible - bendy hands. I am considering a super articulated body now and perhaps a super system. A colleague of mine named Carlos Allersdorf bashed an Action Man head on it and it looked great. Besided, he stands great side by side with other joes, meaning that the figure may still keep his size around 11" 1/2. He took this pic:

| Fantastic looking figure and I love the back story. THAT is what GI Joe/AM should look like if the production had been continuous and brought up to date. _________________ | |

| Once again, thanks a lot, guys. These words from peter ressonates my feelings regarding this bash. - peterodgers wrote:

I want to do something that stays true to what a modern joe (or am) should look like. That is why i dropped the boots from the first pictures for one of these: Why? Well, although action man had a later boots with real laces, gi joe and their cousins mostly had plastic boots with laces sculpted on it. This one sounds more true to the line than the other with real fabric and laces. Of course I know I may took some steps far away from this point when I reach the point to arm him with modern guns, but then again they look so great.
