| Afternoon chaps. Long time no see.. Won't bore you with the details, but I though't I'd drop in again. I've been working on this one for a while. I originally put a bearded head on the figure, but never really liked it, so he's now a vintage blonde. All original, apart from the hands, which are DiD I think. The Martini Henry is from the DID Rorkes Drift figure.. Can't think why it wasn't shipped back to the UK with the original owner. The bulletbelt was made by a chap called Murray at Corrigan Holsters in Canada, and the rounds from Battlegear Toys. The dishdash was made locally by a tailor, the guttrah is cut up from a scarf, and the rope round his bonce is elastic. Rubbish pictures.. Shot in the phone. Have a plan to take him around Dubai and photograph him properly in various locations for a laugh. Cheers, Nick

| Love it Mate, fantastic bash!! This is one outfit I wish Palitoy had produced to go with the FFL.
Great upload, hope you post the pics of Dubai when they're done. _________________ WHO WATCHES THE VOLGANS...

Just needs some sandals or something to finish him off. I am sure someone cut up some zargon boots for sandals, they looked great painted

| Very unique! That type of outfit is something we don't see a lot of. I remember amanfromcoalville (Jim) did a similar one in the past, it's somewhere on this forum. _________________ clivvers - saviour of the huMAM race @ MAMageddon 2009 - 2099 @ clivvers MAM Nation:

| So, I had a work shoot down in Al Ain today, so took the old boy with me, and photographed him outside the Al Jahili Fort. This bash was part inspired by the English explorer Sir Wilfred Thesiger, who travelled round these parts in the 30's and 40's dressed as a local, and who stayed at the fort on his travels. Oh.. I changed the rifle over. This Martini Henry is a little more accurate, and made by the very talented 1/6th model maker Tony Barton from York. More to follow. Cheers, Nick |

| Great photos!!!! That looks like early morning when things are cooler? A photographer told me the best time to take photos is, an hour before sunset (Golden Hour) or in the first hour of light after sunrise I'm looking forward to seeing some more great shots like these! _________________ clivvers - saviour of the huMAM race @ MAMageddon 2009 - 2099 @ clivvers MAM Nation: | |

| Thanks guys.
Did this around 5.30 yesterday evening when the weather was cooler.
Will do a desert shoot after the summer when the heat is a little less ferocious..
Cheers,
