| Well thanks to a friend who owns the RMC L1A1 (bastich LOL) he was kind enough to do comparison images of the VAM next the RMC and a Birds eye view so I can go for a MK II VAM improvement project. REF IMAGES. Now first thing first is modding the fore end and ButtStocks. As Palitoy made them. After dremel work. Also removed the carry handle, as plan to make working version. Then cut the fore end section off for extension. https://2img.net/h/i1288.photobucket.com/albums/b492/Jasonstead/vam%20slr3_zpsi8bcujcs.jpgYou may have noticed the shorter length SLR, that my friends will be a SHORTY as seen in The WILD GEESE once done. Now onto the sculpting work on the fore ends with miliput. | |

| Well sculpting done. Sculpted mods to the butt stock and to the fore end. In the morrow I will sand and tidy up the miliput. | |

| Thanks chaps for the kind words. Update so far:- The fore and receiver are extended compared to the original VAM SLR (White one). I have dremelled the vents in the fore out. Dremelled the stocks to be more accurate, then sculpted the butt plates, as well as sculpting the fore ends up to be more accurate. Needs sanding now. I still need make carry handles, barrels, fore sights and ofc repaints. Also for the shorty I need make the aimpoint sight Tosh has on his, as well as the 40rd Banana mag. Any ideas on the mag chaps? Photos:- Built up fore ends in the SLR "A" style. Comparison, White Standard VAM SLR, 2 SLRs being Modded and of course TOSH's SHORTY. LMK what you guys think | |

| That's cool! Great job. I have wondered about modifying plastic sling connectors to accept brass jump rings. Was that very difficult to do?

| Thanks The brass sling brackets I would go with making neck from the brass ring to embed into the stock. Though adding it through the plastic lug would work too | |

| Skillful modelling work, Jason! I wouldn't have the bottle to carry out the major modding you're doing on these SLR's. I've got a few busted SLR's waiting in the wings that need new barrels and carrying straps. In the past i've made carrying strap rings out of fine springs from pens. ** Always wear eye-protection when cutting and snipping small items ** _________________ clivvers - saviour of the huMAM race @ MAMageddon 2009 - 2099 @ clivvers MAM Nation: | |
