| I've got one of those box sets somewhere, it's a good set. At the start it wasn't one of my favourites, but over time it grew on me.. It's good to be wizzed down the smooth pathways in summer. - ACKIE88 wrote:

| They are certainly high-class figures with superb detail, (just look at the boots alone!) ....but damn I'm still monumentally envious of your HUGE tank!
The sheer magnificence of stuff like this is probably the reason I shy away from doing any "military" scenes. I freely admit I'm no expert at all on uniform authenticity, ranks and insignia etc. and thus the potential for making serious boo-boos is huge.
Wonderful collection gibri and I covet each and every one of such superb figures. They make my own MAMs look like the toys they were/are.
Is that right hand figure in the second photo meant to represent a youngish John Wayne? |

| Thanks very much Barry. As they say, the more you learn the more you realize you don't know the half of it. The potential for errors is about 100%. In my case anyway... Actually the last three guys are supposed to represent real historical personages, Patton, Maj. Gen. John Shirley Wood and Lieut. Col. Creighton Williams Abrams (of Abrams Tank fame) It's a little hard to try and find a head that resembles the figure you're trying to make, but kinda fun too and also sort of rewarding. They usually end up looking pretty good, in my own mind, at least. | |

| Great pic Al. I'm well known for not liking MAM but those robots really tick the 'I'd have loved them as a kid' box. _________________ Life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it. | |
