first vam/gi joe/mam or 1/6 figure?
would have been a VAM bearded adventurer, Blonde.. and definitely had a VAM boxed sailor too... and a VAM commando!
favourite figure now?
my original VAM commando 'Jungle Joe'... Great having your own originals...
most desired item?
a HUGE cabinet with six shelves for big dioramas... that would be fun... somewhere to play!
what will you do with your collection as you get older?
not sure... maybe thin it down to absolute favourites but the problem is once you have them you always find a reason why it's best to keep them.. in therapy it's called 'rationalisation' and VAM are my therapy.....
do you set yourself a budget?
of course!!! do I stick to it? of course NOT!
worst vam/gi joe/mam or 1/6 figure?
I'm pre 1976 figures... and they are all great!!
views on 40th reproductions?
good outfits in the main, I like them but original figures are best
worst item of the vam/gi joe/mam or 1/6 range?
best thing about collecting vam/gi joe/mam or 1/6?
having fun with your collection, making dioramas, setting up photoshoots, sorting good joblots, ...........just getting figures looking their best.. having a play!!
do you think your collection will be collectible in the future?
easy!! early VAM just has that quality and mix of fabrics and detail.. it's a golden era...
if you did not collect vam/ gi joe/mam or 1/6, what would you collect?
I have a few 'collections'; vintage sony audio stuff, vinyl, ... i think it's in my DNA!
why do you like ammo?
it's cool to enjoy the photos and see what customs are being made... I like seeing how other people display figures... for me it's all about having the figures on display... in little dioramas... and being on here is a way of sharing that...
thanks for asking, and keep enjoying!!
