| Thinking outside the box a bit about some of our VAM characters I was wondering what sort of back stories we could dream up about where they have been for the last 30 years? While their plastic toy bodies languished up the loft, what do you imagine the characters we imbue that plastic toy with were up too?
I see Cliff as always having been active with shadowy, clandestine government departments involved with skull duggery against the nations enemies. Joe was probably an instructor at a special forces training camp or maybe running a private security firm hiring mercenaries out to the sort of dodgy government agencies that Cliff was working for. Hank owned a Koni-Tiki bar on some paradise island like Bali, but it just a cover while he ran a smuggling ring and got up to other assorted mischief. Bruce had gone 'Walkabout' and ran a small (20 gazillion acre) sheep farm near Woolabrawong in Australia.
What were your guys doing?

| What a great idea for a thread! I would say that the CH5 disappeared into seclusion, possibly thinking they were the only vam left. Due to injuries sustained in the line of active duty, Jake, Pepe and Goldie were put into cardboardgenics with their broken limbs after a fierce campaign against terrorists trying to take over BAM HQ!. So it was left to Tom and S.J to hold the fort. They took the reigns and organized various sorties for the other nine survivors. S.J organized black ops missions for the sas trained fella's, while continually searching for someone to help re build his commander and fellow soldiers. BAM HQ became a mobile unit not really attached to any Army, Navy or Air Force division and so became mercenaries. They even tried to maintain the small fleet of vehicles. They survived for many years until they were rediscovered and put back into active duty . | |

| At present, two Action Men are stationed at ActionYankee Headquarters, a third is still training in the U.K. and will be deployed in December. They're both 40th, and the chap yet to come is also 40th. | |

| Nice photos and good characters, especially your character intel card Dal! Some of my recent photo story characters included a pilot called: Cockney 'Alfie' Joe, a MAM cameraman called: David 'Snapper' Bailer, and the star of the story called: Giles 'Action Man' Jackson. I need to digitally remaster my photo story (Parachute Day 2) to a smaller photo size of 1024x768, this should prevent photobucket from automatically resizing the photos and causing horrible blurring, i will then repost the photo story. I might try loading it via flickr in it's original size, but they are complicated to use. If anyone wants some really cool design tools to help them up the ladder to better graphic designs, then you should download a free program from Serif, they are quite easy to use and only take about 4 hours to fully master, i have the full Serif software selection and only ever use them for my design work, there's built in user help and full online help: 1. http://www.serif.com/free-graphic-design-software/2. http://www.serif.com/free-photo-editing-software/3. http://www.serif.com/digital-scrapbooking/4. http://www.serif.com/desktop-publishing-software/clivvers @ Equal Rights for MAM 2016. _________________ clivvers - saviour of the huMAM race @ MAMageddon 2009 - 2099 @ clivvers MAM Nation:

| Sean Stevens: You know him, soldier extraordinaire. Member of Her Majesty's Elite Task Force, AKA: The Blue Berets. Presently on a mission to uncover a Undevian Nationalist Camp on Dragon Mountain, an "entry" examination to see if he's got what it takes to join the "Black Beret Brigade." If you thought the Blue Berets were elite, you have yet to see a Black Beret do his job.
Sgt. Clint McTavish: Born in England, raised in the U.S., Sgt. McTavish joined the U.S. Army shortly before the Civil War in Bang Sathanthi, and is stationed there much of the time. He is a heavy weapons specialist, and is an expert at the 81mm Mortar.
Sgt. Christopher Church: INFORMATION CLASSIFIED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE | |
