CS: Hey Red , check that out . Must be one of those 'custom boxes' ?
Red: Hmm I'm not so sure . Could be a Dragonian ruse - lets check it out.



CS : This box art looks very familiar ? Hey Red arn't you 'older guys' coming up to a special Birthday ?
Red: Well yes its 50 years since we were launched - No1 was an original 66 boy you know.
Muffled sound: hey is any one out there
CS : Red ! I think there could be one of us in there !



Red and CS get the box open and make a startling discovery !

Red; Cover me S, it still maybe a trap !
Stranger: Get me out fella's please
CS: Hold on fella



Stranger: Hey guys thanks
CS; Who are you buddy ?
Red : Blimey CS he looks like an  Action Man !
Stranger: I'm Action Soldier Lewis James - LJ for short . Who are you and where am I ?

LJ fills in Captain S and Red



LJ ... and then we finally arrived in the shops , ready for deployment. Its been a  long journey but we have finally arrived !
Red : Thats amazing LJ - you look like an almost perfect cross of us eraly guys and our classic 70's brothers..
CS : Yeah you've got the scar , realistic hair and grippers ! not like us we started off with pinchers !



LJ: But thats not all . I've got some buddies who will also be arriving.
Red : Is that a Combat Para - old school ??
LJ : Yep . There is also a Brit infantry man to come, a frogman, Ski patrol as well as a 66 Footballer.
CS: Well welcome LJ you have been deployed to Munrovian HQ - Gunner Munro will be well chuffed . He got our buddy N01 way back in 1966 and that started a love affair thats never really stopped .



Red : Those grippers are a little stiff at the moment mate . The QM will be able to get you kitted out.
LJ : This Carbine is amazing ? is it really 40 years old ?
Red : I think you will be the start of a new CH11 my friend - welcome.
CS: Yeah - Gunner will be able to set you up as a unit from the start- A uniformity project !
Red: Hmm I'm thinking an Action Blue Beret , a change of boots and you can be a true  Action Man  Basic soldier !

And so a new and exciting chapter begins !




I must admit I had a real 'moment' when this guy arrived - it took me back to my 6 year old self and seeing my very first  Action Man .
So I'm going to create a new Adult Hood Crew with these new guys as funding permits   - thank goodness for Xmas !!

A new range should give our hobby a nice 'shot in the arm'
Hopefully bring back some great memories and possible attract some new enthusiasts.
My Grandson is only 5 months old but he is getting some as a "put away" for when he is 6 !

He will get a MAM to chew on until then

I think he looks good too - not a direct copy -so he can develop his own character distinct from the VAM and 40th

The body sculpt looks pretty good to. He stands and poses very well.

That's what we're all hoping for! A lot of us are here because of the 40th so lets hope the 50th can be half as good!

I agree. I missed out on the 40th range and it looked really good. Loads of sets I would have loved as kid

I'm hoping that the new range will have some 'new' stuff as well to compliment some of the classics

Not yet but Rob says this is just the start so if they introduce more stuff to the range I might feel inspired by some of the later additions. Fingers crossed!

Brilliant !  what do you think ? - I'm hoping his grippers will loosen up a bit - but I relay like his overall look.
