| Yup AY is correct ..it's an antenna.
It's not the original unfortunately as that seems to have disappeared. It's a replacement that I made up from an old superhero weapon.
Sorry don't know the radios origin. All I do know is that its MAM..and it used to belong to my kids when they were into AM
Looking at the picture I'm embarrassed...it needs a good clean. And one of the hinges needs repairing.
