GI Joe Timeless Figure vs Vintage

The dark haired one on the left is vintage, the lighter haired one on the right is Timeless. The Timeless figures tend to have a yellowish body, but is reasonably well made.



The vintage figure (left) has a copyright marking that reads:

MADE IN U.S.A.

The Timeless Figure has markings on both cheeks.

The Timeless Head, in terms of the sculpt, is very similar to vintage. This sculpt comes from the Masterpiece Edition, which describes the head as coming from an "original, unused master." In terms of the paint application, it's a little loose. Scars can be yellow, eyes can be green (a color not originally released), lips can be pale, or not painted at all, the hair color can be wonky, as the one pictured is.



Connector pins on a Vintage figure (left) are milky white, the same on Timeless figures are flesh-tone, and sturdy.

Another two small points to add here are:

1. The Timeless figure's waist ball seems to sit deeper into the pelvic/hip region, which makes the Timeless Joe look a bit shorter than a vintage Joe.. All the rest of Timeless Joe's measurements look the same as the vintage Joe.

2. The Timeless Joe has sunken rivets, probably because of the new toy safety rules.

Good points, another two being:

1. The top of the thigh is not as rounded as Vintage.

2. The Calf top has a subtly different shape, and may be shorter as well.
