CHIPS NAM Collection . Marine one of the Bloods Added 10-09-2020

Hi all , Sorry I don`t get time to post much , but was at a loose end , and thought some of you might like these .I am a BIG NAM fan , I will try and post my collection here as time goes by , I`ll kick off with my Journalists , as  I am a very keen photographer myself , but more into wildlife than people . Anyway I based these figures on real journalists who covered the Vietnam war , Joe Galloway , you maybe familiar with from the film " we were soldiers " and Larry Burrows , a famous Englishman who covered the war . Lot`s of scratch work stuff for these figures , I had some Nikons 3d printed , as most the ones in 1/6th are way to modern for the period . Still need to work on Tim Page , and Sean Flyn , I don`t think this kit bashing side of the hobby is ever finished .

Amazing Chip!! Very well researched and put together. Galloway's helmet cover is a work of art! I'm looking forward to your take on Page and Flynn as they are probably the most famous of the bunch.

Vietnam.......it's one of those events in time where the possibilities to recreate 1/6 combat figures/scenes run endlessly. The very thought of Nam conjures up the muddy foxholes, wet days & night........Mossies! Heavy jungle terrain. True 1/6 paradise!
It would be so hard to do, but I'd really love to see a village type diorama full of the hustle of bustle of Nam life with the underlying threat of the Dinks ever present.
I'll sit waiting for this thread, count on it.

Thanks all , yes Tim Pages bag was scratch built , it might be some time before Page and Flynn get finished , I only really seem to find the time for figures if I am off work sick these days .

One of my R.T.O `s , a lot of reworked stuff and a bit of weathering ect for the radio . I love all the slang and kit the Marines used .

Some of you may remember the 1st issue Platoon figures from sideshow , I brought the limited editions of Rah and King ect , but they remain in their boxes . I did however add some other figures to the popular three  , Barnes , Elias and Taylor , and took some outdoor photos . It`s a bit pic heavy , but we like pics right ? Hope you like them .

Nice photos of your troops

My NAM LRRP  ( Long Range Recon Patrol ) .Team , I will put them all together  one day .... Added names to some of the equipment if anyone is interested . I did the custom face cam , still need to finish those .  These teams went well armed , though they tried to avoid contact at all costs , working in such small teams made them vulnerable , they would put lots of rounds and grenades out very quickly to make them appear a larger number than they were , and then try and make it to an extraction point as soon as they could . Hope you like them .

I always enjoy seeing your troops Chip! so thanks so much for taking the time to post them . Each one is so detailed! very envious
