NAM Grenadier 23rd Infantry .

That soldier is ready to spend some time in the field.

And to defend himself if necessary.

Let's hope defending himself is not necessary, and that it's more like a camping trip than a combat mission.

RECON MARINE 3rd FORCE COMPANY VIETNAM

  The pouches and Canteen covers are dragons original plastic versions . However , I have , I feel gave them a better look , by covering them in sports tape and re- painting . It`s quite time consuming but therapeutic at the same time . They need a bit of weathering , but I think it worth the effort , what do you think ?

I've heard of using the sports tape. It is a great improvement to the molded plastic.

Navy SEAL  " Oscar " .

   I kitted out "Oscar " , for both prisoner snatches and assassinations , note the silenced Hush Puppy pistol . and also for more heavy ambush missions , note the Stoner M.G and LAW . To my knowledge the Stoner M.G  was only issued to Navy SEAL`s during the NAM . It could be assembled in various combinations , the most noticeable to include the length and the way the rounds were fed to the beast , this could include a drum magazine , a box magazine as here , or also I believe could be belt fed . Canteen carriers were often used as ammo carriers by S.F teams in the NAM as these could hold more magazines than standard pouches , especially for the weapons with longer magazines as here the captured AK47 .Again Oscar`s web gear has been given the sports tape treatment . What an impressive pair of figures in these last two posts! The level of realistic detail is quite impressive.

The SEAL looks like a serious soldier with serious business to attend to. Intimidating, actually.

Not someone you want to annoy if your a new Marine recruit . I think the with glasses have the edge , what do you think ?

Thanks Dal and Dave , I put the sculpt on a 21st mk2 body , I have a hands set with different hand poses that will make good for future photo shoots .

Brother Blood , fighting for Hue City .

      Think this is one of Dragons best head sculpts and has stood the test of time . I particularly like the first photo .

Impressive figure and a very nicely composed series of pics. Second photo is outstanding, with that "high alert" stance. The eyes are intense in the third pic.

The KOOL cigarette package is a great period-authentic detail.

Another fantastic Squad member Chip! the ringed finger is a great touch
