If you have a problem unknotting a parachute tangled cord with hard to undo tight knots, then follow this simple tip:
Use two large sewing needles and a hard surface, make sure the needles are the thicker diameter ones so the tip won't snap off and cause any injury, always wear reading glasses for this process just in case. With a tightly knotted cord that needs to be undone, press in each needle into each side of the knot and work it apart bit by bit, it might be a good idea to soak the knot in warm water first to help loosen it a bit.. you can also use your forefinger and thumb nails to help prise the knot apart, it's best to do this task under a desk lamp so you can easily see what you are doing.. When the knot is undone wet the area where knot used to be and slightly stretch the cord to iron out any kinks, run your wet fingers up and down the offending area a few times.
