| I seem have a knack for finding battle-worn Marx figs. I picked up this Buddy Charlie off eBay with strange repro arms (possibly HoF Joe or early Power Team). A local comic store got me a 1990s Playing Mantis Captain Action for better arms. The arms are a slightly different shade; but clothing makes it less noticeable. He'll hopefully get a camo outfit in the future; but for now; he's staying in his Navy clothes. The shirt is Joe, marked Hong Kong; while the trousers are Marx. He looks something like a SeaBee (Construction Battalion) -Nate | |

Brilliant find Nate, I've got a real 'soft spot' for Marx figures . Buddy Charlie was Marx response to Gi Joe ?

| Hi Nate, great figures . Its interesting Marx didn't move to a more articulated figure.
I loved my Custer and Silver Knight , but they just didn't pose like Action Man....and they seemed to break quicker .. but they had gripping hands well before Action man and GI Joe !
Thanks for posting.

Funnily enough, some of the Marx and Captain Action collectors prefer their articulation to Joe's. I don't agree, but the gripping hands are nice! -Nate
