Kamiko Apologizes, again.

I thought that the ongoing phone calls between Dr. Evil and Kamiko deserved their own thread, so here goes.  Fair warning, though intended to be funny, there is a moral message here about the evils of name-calling, and Kamiko, who's been called many nasty names by many stupid people feels very bad about calling Dr. Evil a pointy-eared freak. However Kamiko being Kamiko, I doubt the conversation will leave Dr. Evil feeling any better.

 Are we getting to see Kmiko's softer side? Great series of pics and dialogue, really enjoyed that!

Not the softer side, no. What you are seeing is the internal conflicts she has going on within her.

Ah, fighting her inner demons eh?

Not her inner demons so much as the clash of cultural identities.  She American of pure Japanese ancestry and has spent half her life in Japan. She feels compelled to be both American and Japanese at the same time but sometimes fails to reconcile the enormous cultural differences between Americans and Japanese and frequently exhibits the worst traits of one culture while trying to act in accordance with the best traits of the other and vice-versa.

Interestingly, she has no trouble whatsoever reconciling her growing empathy for Dr. Evil as a living being with feelings etc, from her duty to destroy him. She seems to have not even the slightest bit of remorse about that.

Doctor Evil will be racking up a huge phone bills with these long distance phone calls to Kamiko .

No doubt he will. Kamiko's return calls however are paid for by the US tax-payer as she is a government operative. This being said, tax collection and bill payment is rather erratic in my Mad-Maxian universe.
