Old Talker

I haven't bought any Vam for ages, but saw this chap just begging for my attention on eBay last week. The listing said he just needed his legs pushing back on, yeah right.










Well the bad bits are obvious but on the plus side the face is good and he has original feet and hard hands. Surprisingly the voice box works and has a vintage tag.

I think I have a complete 2nd issue 40th Talker uniform for this chap somewhere in the loft.

Great to see a vam being rescued Brian . I looked at him on ebay too. I agree he does have a great face. I am very much looking forward to seeing him back on his feet and ready for action !

Looks like he's had a hard life and is sporting a few battle scars but I'm sure he'll be fighting fit again when you've finished!

A well worn beaten up VAM is a well loved & heavily played with VAM making him the perfect purchase. He comes with a played with history & that for me is what makes them worth the investment. Give me one of these over a mint never played with one any day !!

Ouch!!!! Poor little fella. Glad you picked him up mate. My Aunt has just told me she threw away her son's VAM because they were broken, Some even had their heads broken off

To be honest it's what I like to do most with Vam, most of the repaired ones stay in my main collection, some, if good enough go to frontline duty with my boys.

First sort out the legs, replacement calves fitted.

Then feet back on

Just need to replace that torso casing;


I did intend to have another go at fixing the splits with a soldering iron but that can wait for another day, in the meantime a dig around the body spares box will suffice

Standing nice and proud at long last.

A quick face wash and he is ready for the SB Flock Shop.
