Command post ...part 1

Command post . Part 1

Built this a couple of months ago ..
Made out of ply wood and used plaster to cover the wood for a plaster effect   ,   Scratched into the plater for the brick effect , then painted, the door and roof were made from an old fence panel,
The floor boards were made from old slats from a bed , roughed up and painted
I have the process photographed if any one is interested.
Anyway the senario is....
Operation market garden.  1944.. after an unsuccessful campaign in the Netherlands. What's left of the British army is trying to escape..
A few stragglers are held up in a bombed out farm house trying to figure an escape route...

Its a cracking build Dean! and I do think you should post a how to guide of the build! It works really well as back drop for your vam! lots of photo ops ahead (I hope!) Thanks for sharing your marvelous build with us on AMMO

brilliant and very clever stuff R.G. I have seen this over on the H.Q, as i said over there the play value of this is a lot better than my idea which was just a wall

Some great shots...the poor dead soldier covered with the jacket ....we'd have all loved a set up like this as kids!

I did enjoy making it It was loosely based on my old airfix 1/72 Stronghold or command post ..I had , and still have, from when I was a kid..

This looks amazing, love the little details like the rubble.
Very well posed figures too
