| I remember a thread... But maybe it was on the old site, or it got archived in the great bin off, so any help anyone? I've got a stained face (not mine ) on a VAM and it looks like its either been resting against something black or it was coloured in, but my guess by the pattern it looks like clothes stain. Anyone got some hints and tips for me, my vague recoloection is someone recommended Oxy10 zit/acne cream Feel free to throw in, i will give everything a try to save the little fellas | |

| I seem to remember the thread your talking about staining, Damo, but what happened too it, I don't know?? Stains on the vam heads are always a pain, some are easy to remove, with toothpaste, others not so. I seem to recall TomK using something on a vam head he had that worked a treat, but I can't think what it was. I know that sterident tablets will take out heavy staining on vam clothes and I have used it on a few heavy soiled heads that worked really well. I used 3 sterident tabs in to near boiling water, in a sealabe plastic tub and left it for about four days, then scrubbed with a toothbrush, it came out really well, maybe that would work? The sterident tablets aren't that expensive either. I am sure others may have better solutions for heavier staining | |

| I remember that thread, there were some great tips.
I seem to remember someone using the oxy cream on a head, leaving the head in sunlight seemed to make the cream more effective. _________________ WHO WATCHES THE VOLGANS... | |

| Yeah I remember Steve (Gunner Munro) trying the Oxy 10 and sunlight method on a 'Hitler' VAM head that someone had done with marker. He covered the affected area with the cream and covered the head in cling film. Then, he left it in a sunlit area on a windowsill to let the light activate the cream into bleaching the ink out. He had fairly good results I think. If it's a stain that's bled into the plastic it can be an absolute bugger to shift though, but the Oxy and a bit of perseverance might make a big difference. _________________ Real heroes don't die... they just reload.
