Yeah I think you're right Nate. Lots of subtle differences in height even just between Action Man.
I've got a plan for the waist which should sort it quite easily. And on reflection I think the extra length might be a good thing for the look I have in mind

I don't know what look you have in mind, but you could always just tuck them into boots where the length wouldn't show.
