We are now recruiting for the Star Patrol! The Space Force needs you....actually, it needs pics of your figures. Please post any pics you have of sci fi astronauts, aliens, spaceships, flying saucers, Men In Black, alien landscapes. The more retro, the better. Yes, Star Trek and Star Wars figures are allowed. (in case you were wondering,)
Photos should be accompanied by a name if possible, and the organization your figure belongs to...unless it's a monster. Yes, Klingons and Romulans are welcome...

Thanks for sharing Dave. Always nice to see Major Matt Mason Stuff from the 60's. I wish I still had my Sgt Storm figure....and My Billy Blastoffs. Oh, and of course, my vintage GI Joe and Mercury Space capsule.

This thread reminded me of a figure I got long ago. I think it's one of the very first Power Team figures. The head looks like vintage Joe/Action Man, but the body seems to be newer. As I recall I was the only one to bid on this figure on ebay. The seller stated in the auction that she and her friends only opened the box to see if the figure was "anatomically correct." He is still in his original box, I haven't removed him from the backing. The box is in a bit rough shape, the glue is coming apart from the window in the box, plus it has shelf wear. I'm guessing the seller and her friends "felt" of him through his clothes to see if he had something they were looking for.
I bought him because he was different from any Power Team figure I had or had seen. I haven't decided yet what to do with him.
Here he is in the package, front and back.
The package has no date of any kind, so I'm not sure when he was made. Here is the backing pulled out of the box, so you can see him better. He has a couple of "shields or plates" for protection I assume, along with a rifle and laptop.
Like I said, this thread made me think of him. I may have another figure or two to find and post.

Umm, what does that have to do with the figure Power Team produced?
I was just responding to your post.

Nothing. It's just an observation. They obviously used the FAMAS because it has a sci-fi look to some, though it's in fact an actual military rifle. This is nothing new. Star Wars used dressed up Sterling submachine guns for storm trooper carbines, MG42's for heavy weapons, and a Mauser C-96 pistol for Han Solo's blaster.

Hey, many people have sued for being "groped" and have been awarded large amounts. Get him a good lawyer!
I like that figure and he does look useful!

The Martian landscape photos are amazing. I particularly like the one featuring the robot and the flying saucer. And, just by looking, you know what planet is represented here. Great photos!

Oh, I apologize KTC. I guess I was just tired when I read your post. I had heard years ago about Star Wars using old weapons for the movie.
I wasn't thinking straight when I posted. Again, I apologize.
I just wasn't thinking about how a current weapon would look like a "futuristic" weapon.

Don't worry about it. I wasn't offended. The makers of that toy just decided to do the same thing George Lucas did,or more probably one of the art directors and prop masters did, choosing weapons that could look futuristic if dressed up a bit, knowing that most people who went to see the film would not recognize those weapons.
