My Dr. X figures Empty
PostSubject: My Dr. X figures   My Dr. X figures Icon_minitimeSat Apr 02, 2022 5:42 am

I got these a few years back, when the economy was better and I had the extra funds.
I recently did some digging to find them.

First up is the 1999 Dr. X with the crushing hand. I got this one loose, later in a job lot
I got another that's still on the blister card.

The green "wing nut" makes his hand close, and then one more click and it opens.
His left eye is red.

There are two from 2001 (according to a website, don't remember which), the first called the copper X.

This one has a ball on a chain, and his left arm has click stops. One the arm is positioned
a slight rotation is spring loaded, and he throws the ball and chain.

The second figure is called Silver X (according to the same site), he has a hard
plastic coat and a missile firing hand.

The hand has four missiles, and all four fire at once from a single button.

Last but not least, the Dr. X from 2002. I got all of these figures loose.

My Dr. X figures 2002x-10

This figure has his gun, and even came with an instruction sheet. He has a lever
and a button on his back. The lever drops his chest to reveal a weapon and the
button retracts the weapon back into his chest.

The instructions and the holes in the chest weapon shows that he had two
missiles, but I didn't get them with the figure. It would be nice to have them.
A simple push drops the chest part way, pushing it all the way down I'm guessing
fires the missiles as the chest falls farther down.

I though I had more Dr. X figures than these, but they were what I found.

GREAT figures Daryl!
I'm very surprised to see you still have all four missiles!
Houses and backyards must be littered with a huge assortment of those things!
Archaeologists of the future will be puzzled as to what they are!

It would be nice to find the two for the last figure.

Daryl really enjoyed looking though your loose Dr. X figures. I have two of the Dr. X with the Mohawk and the crushing hand. One boxed and one loose but my Dr. X has a purple tank top rather than a brown tank top see.

I never knew you could get that Dr. X with a brown tank top. That Dr. X with the Mohawk is my favourite Dr. X head sculpt out of all the Dr. X’s head sculpts. The Dr. X with his BIG bronze robotic arm again I have two, one boxed and one loose. My favourite bits of him is his BIG bronze robotic arm and chain and big spiked ball and his purple trousers. The Dr. X with missile firing hand I had but when I fell out of love of the Dr. X figures I gave it away to a charity shop I think. It’s a real pity that they gave him a plastic long coat instead of a fake leather looking long coat. The Dr. X with his chest cavity housing a missile launcher with two missiles dose not make sense to me Laughing. Thank you very much Daryl for sharing your loose Dr. X figures with us. All brilliantly photographed as well.

Thanks Alexander. cheers

I looked in the closet at my packaged crushing hand Dr. X, and he has a purple tank top.
I didn't realize that the two I have had different colored tank tops. Thank you for pointing
that out. Very Happy

Yes, that is one of the best head sculpts. And it is a shame the one Dr. X had a plastic long
coat instead of one made of cloth. A cloth one would have been a lot better.

I'm glad you liked them, and I'm glad you liked the photos. cheers
