Speaking of Skull Island, I came across those 2 videos that list all the creatures you can find there from the 2005 King Kong and the 2017 Kong: Skull Island:
Might be helpful. As I said in chat, its not like there arent a ton of insect toys out there that would work for 1:6 among other things

Someone made a full length, 2 hour "documentary" of all the creature living on the 2005 Skull Island, even citing actual research to explain things even better, as well as talking background info on how they were created and what went into them.
I think this is a great way to get ideas for both Dinosaur Valley and Skull Island. Toy Dinosaurs are not hard to come buy (Matell is doing a whole Jurassic World line of toy dinosaurs in various sizes) and you dont need to have them in the "right" size, because you can always explain it away that the size different is due to adaptation and mutation.
