My second new chap has been with me for a few days, I have issued him with a rifle and belt from stores that seemed appropriate and sent him off into the hill to show off his potential.
I like him, although I think the deluxe version is a lot of extra money for not a lot extra kit and the lack of a weapon with the Officer Cadet limits his play potential strait out of the box. The articulation is fantastic with the exception of his neck movement and the hands which are not horrendous but not as good as others offered with the World Peacekeepers range. A badge on his beret would be good and even though I still prefer the vintage range I think they make a great addition to my team.

I’m really really liking pictures of your new chap off into the hill to show off his potential. Just wonderful outside pictures.

Great shots KDM...I agree with your POV re hands . I did hear that if you put these harder hand in boilig water it softens the up a bit after they cool down ?.. it maybe just an urban Myth

My second "new 4th Gen " AM arrived.
I did say I was going for the Marine but at the last min I saw him for £19 on Amazon vs £26.49 so did a swerve.
He comes with basic set of kit as the Officer Cadet. Again very well packaged.
Like KDM I have given him a belt from the power team range , a slightly under scaled SA80 from the HM Armed forces range and scrim scarf ( made from stretchy bandage)
Here he is next to the Officer Cadet
Here are a few poses with some kit I had to hand . Gives a sense of how he might be kit bashed.
Here he is reporting for duty to the commander of the T-Rex Squad . "Fall In !!"
My only gripe is that he came with two right boots Also this guy's beret is not as good a fit and a belt , as advertised , would have been great.
As I have said earlier , he looks good but I think Officer cadet wins out as best "basic " 4th Gen Action Soldier imho.
I'll await Deans look at the Marine before ordering.
Thanks for looking

This new line does have definite play potential! The officer cadet does seem to be the best of the basic figures.

This chap arrived today. I think he's my favourite. His jumper is superb and his beret stays on perfectly. The beret is very " royal marine " in my opinion..so that's what I think he will become.

Just discovered this range! So far, I've noticed a soldier, marine and officer cadet in the 'basic range' and soldier, night ops and 'freeze force' in the deluxe range. Is that it? What is 'freeze force' representing? Is it a ficticious livery?
Hopefully, these will turn up in shops eventually? So far just on Amazon and Ebay.
From the comments here, they sound as if they are worth getting anyway!

Hi BigBear,
I've got two (the 2 in the front of the picture below ) I think the officer cadet is my favourite despite the fact that he comes with no equipment...I just love the jumper. I've replaced the hands with repro grippers because the hands on the figures are way too hard to be of any use. Not really sure what will happen with the woodland camo fella yet, but the cadet will become a royal marine.
The articulation is great. The uniforms are pretty good..especially the officer cadet. As I and others have said..there's a distinct lack of equipment with the figures. For a comparable price you could buy a peacekeeper with a ton of equipment.
That said, I'm happy with the two that I have. Will I buy more ? ...maybe. I think it will depend on what figures they produce and whether they come better equipped.
I noticed you're in Devon...lucky man. Are you north or south ?

I added to the deluxe A.M , which I brought mainly because I liked the S.A 80 , I had further plans for the figure , though I wasn`t overly impressed with the sculpt so he remained as was for some time . However I did favour the Marine Opps figure , and he appeared to have the best sculpt in the new range , so I got him . He is very good for a new released A.M considering some of the recent offering's we got with those awful bodies .
Anyway here he is out the box . A bit basic , but I like the uniform he has , I will work on some additions for it I am sure .
I think this is definitely the best sculpt in the new range from what I have seen .
I like the short black boots , they look the part .
I have assigned him for other duties already , and given the blonde dude from the deluxe set his uniform , I think it suits him .

I like the look of his basic camouflage uniform. Looking forward to seeing what additions you will be adding to him Chip.

I haven't seen any of these in person, Chip. And not too many here. Do the head sculpts actually look differently? I've noticed vintage figures can have different looks, I'm guessing because of the way they were painted?

That is a nice headsculpt! I’m not a fan of the blueberry uniform (glad I was out of the navy before they adopted them) but you can’t beat the price!
