Fixed up a backpack last night, and thought i'd share it with everyone.
Depends what straps need replacing, but i did the longest one and had plenty of material.
I was repairing a ski patrol backpack, but it would work for the green one too. Take a belt if it's stained or clip is missing all the better (make sure it's a colour match), i used a white belt undid ALL the stitching and opened up the bias binding (type of material they're made from) and ironed it flat.
the straps are about 5mm wide so it needs to be folded in half and have enough to fold inside again so edges don't fray = 20mm
Cut it 20mm wide, iron in half longways, then iron again so that the outer edges are neatly tucked inside and can't be seen from the outside.
Run 2 stitches on the sewing machine down it and stitch it on.
JOB DONE
Even made it longer, as in my humble opinion, they're FAR too short
