| A non Max Steel rant! Say No To Strategic Business Planning: Sadly my little Pentax P&S camera died last week, it was perfect for taking Black and White pictures, it was almost on a par with big DSLR cameras.. I went to turn her on and she just couldn't focus anymore, I tried everything for hours to sort the problem, but to no avail... I'm sure they build these things to last a set period of time then the software says "enough".. I think that if they made cameras to last more than 7 years it would put them out of business, it's kind of a strategic business plan that they all stick to. It's really odd that this has happened, I looked after that camera and have hardly used it.. It seems that these days manufacturers deliberately make things not to last to keep themselves in business, my indoor slippers have only lasted 7 months and they are now a write off (no feet jokes please, my feet are washed and pampered everyday.. Wasn't there a time when things like slippers used to last about 3 years of washing and normal everyday use?.
