Having a few of your colditz story photos in black and white makes them a gripping and powerful if that makes sense.

OOooohhhhh! Nice "midnight on guard duty" shot, there, TNS! You have a nice rim light going, there, as though it was cast by the moonlight! Well done! cheers

Thanks Dave! I'm glad you like it. In fact, the figure is lit by the moon (the rim light), but also unfortunately
by an outdoor light from a neighbors house. I hadn't planned for his face to be lit that much.

A real moonlight shot? Okay, I'm even more impressed! That's really cool!

Ow… there nice photos chip .
Very professional looking..

Great photos Chip. The second one, with the angle and lighting, the figure almost looks like
a real person. The wrist joint is the only thing that gives it away.

Thanks Dave. The reason the photo is grainy and not real sharp is because of the high ISO I had to use.
As you can see in the color version, the neighbors light caused his skin tone to be regular instead of bluish,
as the cast of the moon would make it. Neutral

Nice images, Chip! The one with the sky in the background really looks like a 'Nam era magazine photo. Your detail work on the figs is shown to good effect in these pics, and the posing and greyscale color tone effectively convey a sense of these being authentic vintage 'Nam era photos.
