New Arrival - VAM Cherilea Bridge

             
Many years ago I saw this Bridge at a Toy Show. I really wanted to buy it but I couldn't afford it.
I've admired it online a few times and specially in Slack's photos. (BTW great photos Slack, as always!)
Well I finally have one.  
It's a very fun toy! I'm very happy to have it in my collection. I would like to
share some photos of the new arrival with all of you. Here you go. . .

Very nice! Well done on getting one - I guess those things are quite rare but a great piece for a collection, and lots of possibilities for diorama scenes.

Now that looks excellent, Well Done on getting the bridge, superb photos, plenty of Vam playing time coming up i think

I vaguely remember seeing a bridge in the 'Andy and George' G.I.Joe comic strips back in the day   I think there was an instruction sheet showing how to construct a mini Joe battlefield outdoors, which included how to make a mini river and bridge crossing. I'm sure I got the sheet with my first Action Man/Joe   It was so long ago   

Very cool! How long is it from end to end assembled? I have never seen one before, I take it this was a rarer item?

Missed out on one of these last week on ebay, it was not boxed but went for £25 and i missed the deadline to bid, i was gutted   

I was watching that as well, like yourself I missed

That bridge is AWESOME! I'd love to have a bridge like that for my engineers. Did you have to add all those small, black "zip-ties" to hold all the pieces together? Did it come with all those zip-ties? Can you share the dimensions of the bridge? What would be a fair market price for the bridge on E-bay? I don't think I have ever seen one for sale on the US E-bay, so I might have to start following the UK E-bay to get one of those! It's fabulous!

Just got myself one of these babies off eBay. Looks complete including the barriers but no box. Did a BIN for £45. Can't wait for it to arrive.

Arrived today, it is complete only problem is the barrier pivots are broken but managed to use the stumps left to put them in place for the picture, will have a go at a repair when I can.

That's a shame about the pivots Brian but still looks great

I see you like looking at the stars and planets! Same this end     I've got a couple of small dobs, a couple of Refractors (Sky Watcher and Celestron) and a bundle of other spotters and binos. I've been looking at the night sky since the late 1960's, it's a fab hobby (very peaceful in the dead of night in winter)  

Orion is now starting to show in the early hours. My faves are the 'Double Cluster, near Cassiopeia (The W shape) in the Northern sky, the 'Double double' (a good test for optics) and the colourful 'Alberio' in Cygnus the swan, plus a few others
