| This was the very first action man I got Now a question about dog tags when did they stop putting them in with the figures? I dont recall mine ever having one or any of my later figures I or my brother had . _________________ There is pleasure in recognising old things from a new viewpoint. Richard Feynman | |

| Good question Andy. My main man 'Joe' was a 2nd issue soldier but I can't remember either way on him having or not having dog tags or a belt. I do however remember hard hands and a Sten gun was the most useless combo Palitoy ever produced! _________________ Life moves pretty fast. | Very nice, Dan That uniform looks good on a painthead as well. I remember ironing that uniform for my brown haired painthead, back in the day. Those pockets were always a pain to keep flat. I also got one of those uniforms in my 'To repair' sewing box, it's been there for 3 years _________________ clivvers - saviour of the huMAM race @ MAMageddon 2009 - 2099 @ clivvers MAM Nation: | |

| This soldier was my one and only Action Man as a kid - bought May 1970, you can see him in my avatar photo. I still have the beret and sten gun. I'm pretty sure he came with a plastic dog tag, but the one I had with the remnants of my childhood collection was one I picked up to replace the original lost one sometime in the 70s or 80s. No idea about the belt.
BTW my soldier is one of the big heads and the beret doesn't really fit! He lost most of the flock on the sides of his head from trying to force fit various helmets! Needless to say his new flock is treated with a lot more respect!
I'd love to get a minty set of these fatigues for Tom K if any one knows where I can get a set! _________________ RalphMe? Well, I live life vicariously! My Action Man? Well, he lives life victoriously! See my photos @ Flickr | |
