| Congratulations on breaking the ice in this section, Ackie. The first post! As usual, super outdoor photos again, and probably the best on any forum for scenic wonders! That's a super looking Max steel figure, it has the moody serious look that I like the most out of all the Max Steel figures. I have a few like that but in other outfits. That big mountain in the background looks similar in shape to a Volcano. I bet you are now bitten by the Max Steel bug. Max is the perfect 12" upgrade to Mattel's classic Mark Strong/Big Jim action figure from the 1970's. Max has almost the same outfits and the same colours as the Big Jim figure "They think it's all over... It is now!" | Undoubtedly great outdoor shots Alex! Well done. I have the exact same figure but that eye-piece is permanently attached and that really limits his usefulness for so many situations. I'm thinking that seeing as the body is good, he might be a suitable candidate for a head transplant. What was the eye thing supposed to be or do anyway? |

I’m so pleased that you thought that they were great outdoor shots. That’s interesting that you have the exact same figure. The eye-piece was also permanently attached on my Max Steel head. I think you can look though the eye piece green lens though the back of his head. _________________ I’m Dedicated to serving Professor Gangrene as One of His Loyal Minions.

It was a "bionic eye" gimmick. They used in the Six Million Dollar Man figures here in the States. So you could "see" what the bionic eye of your figure was "seeing." As a kid, I didn't care for it. It made for an unsightly hole in the head and a goofy looking eye. _________________ ... DAVE

As a kid, I didn't care for it. It made for an unsightly hole in the head and a goofy looking eye. Well I have to say I still don't care for it, and for the very same reasons. Makes the figure unusable fo any of my purposes really, so it's a head transplant for mine as the body is quite well articulated. Those with a sharp eye will have noticed one of my non-bionic-eyed Max Steel figures masquerading as Santa's Chief Elf Sleigh Stacker in the picture of my Christmas table layout elsewhere here on Ammo. He's outfitted in a miniature souvenir Russian fur hat sent from Moscow and a Ken-doll Kristoff costume I picked up cheaply on eBay. Makes a great elf suit I think. |
