Daring Charity shop rescue ….

Hi guys

We got a tip off on UOAMHQ from Tally Ho, that three VAM were in a Charity shop in Chester, but they were asking too much for them and a bundle of gear ( £50 ) .


So Benny Bee and I teamed up. BB did all the contacting the shop, getting them put to one side etc etc

So I enacted the rescue part of the mission as I live close to Chester. The main aim was to just get the guys at £4.99 each and then arm wrestle each other for who got what  
So yesterday off I  toddled got to the shop and result !! …They had a half price sale !!    never heard of that before in a charity shop  

So it made it much more economical to get the "jumble too". So here is the stash.£27.



Benny Bee has now some items on his wants SOC & SOW list of kit and one of the  Action Man .
Tally Ho  thanks for the tip off mate. Mission Charity shop rescue complete. 3  Action Man heading back to active service  , 2 with Munrovian's  and one with Benny Bee in Hertfordshire

Really the stuff that dreams are made of! Hope the year is full of more successful missions like this...Great work TH for the tip off and Gunner for the successful extraction! Makes me wonder how many other VAM are lying in charity shops across the UK waiting to be rescued...

Well done rescue at the Charity Shop!!!

As I recall Tally Ho was snubbed when he offered them 30 for that 50 lot. At half price it sold for 25 so they lost money by not taking Tally Ho's offer...just saying...

Everyone is an 'expert' now days and thinks every old bit of tat is a valuable collectable. Tally made a reasonable offer but charity shops always think stuff is worth more than it really is. There's a VAM armoured car in my local charity shop window marked up at £15. It's not in very good condition and is never going to sell at that price!

It's a great on the edge of your seat feeling securing that one lot where you know your getting the best deal. Brilliant to see, well done.
