Came across this set from a few years back which gave me a chuckle so thought I'd share.
Spud's my original second edition sailor and very first AM - that dynamic bod was a replacement.
When I started getting into MAM he was less than impressed.
So much so he started sleeping badly and having weird dreams in VERY awkward scenarios...
Spud being Spud, he did some therapy and decided not all elements of MAM were that bad and decided that next time he had that worrying dream - he'd fix it ….
Still, he was that wound up I had to change out his 'contaminated' bod and take him on the next nature trip the wife and myself went on.

A great trip down memory lane Kev
It would be great to see Spuds full command .. you have done some great fix ups, flocks and rebuilds over the years

I wonder if the others made it out of the sauna alive?? especially seeing that gun Spud was packing!
Had a play about with upgrading the rest of my 'kiddie' Action Man figure this weekend.
You'll see from earlier in the thread, he's been refitted with a Cotswold bod and is currently serving as an Aussie Desert Fighter..
As I had the box and sailor uniform knocking around, I got my wife to work with the needle and thread.
She opened up the T-rex arms on the jacket and added a rather snazzy navy / white piece of ribbon edging to give them a little extra length.
Some new press studs to replace that lousy cheap velcro fastening on both jacket and pants, some 40th AM boots, and he's looking reasonably ship shape.
I nicked Spud's old service cap to try on him too as I think it looks better with this.
The Cotswold donor bod means he can strip down to his vest without embarrassment too
A humble mod, but in my view a vast improvement on the Ken-Doll style that Art+Science released on the market a couple of years ago to almost universal chagrin amongst collectors. Still, a little bit of tweaking along with the great head-scuplt shows that these can be upgraded to a decent level.

Great stuff Kev,
how A&S should have issued them in the first place

Thanks guys, I'm pretty pleased with outcome on that. Might even buy a few more of these and chop 'em up for modding.
Chip, the vest is part of the kit with the 'Deluxe Action Sailor' from Art+Science. it's very nice and useable across a range of figures.
Steve, you're right. What A+S were hoping to achieve with this was never totally clear in my view. That does seem to be dead in the water now doesn't it?
It's a shame they didn't look at other options to develop the reboot, but, like everything, I suspect it's projected sales and profit before everything else.
