So after the conversation on chat I remembered that I had some black gloved MAM hands in my spares box. Ten minutes in boiling water and hey presto!! I now have three of the squad with black gloved hands. Turns out Dal was right...again it is easy to remove and refit MAM hands.

The rifle is a customised one of these ones (bottom)
It has a shortened and different barrel and an all black paint job with some steel highlights.
After your conversion , it has a Shotgun look to it , but I am guessing it`s more likely a large calibre rifle .

I'm calling it a carbine.

Mine too. My blonde bearded adventurer always carried one back when I was a kid.

Today I'm performing surgery I picked up a couple of MAM at a car boot, but the flocked head is on a terrible body. I thought that I could just swap the heads, but the neck fittings are totally different. So I cut the body with the good legs and the good arms with black gloves. I thought maybe I could heat the arms up and pop the joint just above the elbow hence why the body is in boiling water. But that didn't work so I'm gonna have to cut the body.
Hopefully I will have a picture of the finished figure soon... Or two wrecked bodies

This is how I heat flocked heads up in boiling water. It's a tip I saw on YouTube...stops the flocking getting damaged apparently.
I thought I'd get it finished today, but I had to use some milliput on the hips of the blue pants. I also used some along the cuts I made either side of the neck. I'm hoping that once sanded and painted it will blend in. If not I will give him a scarf

Very brave , I hate doing surgery on figures as often there is no going back , thanks for the tip regarding the plastic bag protecting the flock , it`s always concerned me a little . Looking forward to the end result , I hope it goes well for them and you .

He looks good Chris. I'm not sure I've seen that particular head sculpt before.

That head sculpt could be from ether Warpaint Warrior, Battle Force, Space Commando or Night Creeper which all came from the mam 1994 range.
