Oooh! I haven't had my Lensbaby lens out in years! These pix were snapped with an iPad, and then to somewhat disguise the poor quality, I layered on some app effects using an app called PhotoToaster.
But now you have me thinking about the Lensbaby again! I may need to dust off the old DSLR and see if it still works!

Star Patrol in The Aeron Incident - Part I - Cut & Run
Units of Star Patrol Squadron 13, including scout ship FS-009 Edward D. Wood Jr., have assisted in an attack by combined space forces on the RPV Jolly Rogers, a suspected space pirate vessel believed to be under the command of a notorious and mysterious vandal of the void known as Aeron. Having suffered considerable damage in the encounter, the space forces withdraw, leaving the shattered hulk of the pirate vessel adrift and ablaze.

Aurora set - yes. Paid more than I should have, probably, but ya only go broke once, right?
Scope is one of those plastic pumps from a bottle of liquid soap, with a rectangular bit glued to it as a screen. I thought about attaching 1/6 scale binoculars to make an eyepiece, but when I found the rectangular widget I decided to go with a screen.
I'm reasonably happy, for a change, with the "cramped and grungy" look of this sequence.

I can fully concur with the immortal Mae West who once said: "I've been rich and I've been poor. Rich is better!"
Great set up Dave! Excellent use of material too. It's all coming together.

Dave,
There is no limit to how many times you can go bankrupt, but this does answer the mystery of where one of the 2 Auroras that were on eBay went.

Try Sam Spade!
Seriously, your crew looks good with the three figures in suits and you seem to have taken the concept very much to heart. I almost feel bad about having started you on this path.....but then I realized that I didn't start you on this path at all. It was always there beneath the surface. At best, I re-awakened a retro-sci-fi bent that had always been there.

That is an accurate assessment, yes. Your pointing out the intriguingly retro look of the Cy Girls sets is what turned a passive "intent" in to an active project. I was not previously familiar with those sets.

I was thinking in terms of Kamiko as the sleuth! Or Laura, more likely.

Your imagination is running away with you Dave......and your wallet too by the looks of it!
Lot of unprotected cleavage there though. Definitely "inner" wear!

I made the mistake of linking this video in another thread, and the rest was predictable
