Subject: BAMBuilds - Creating a brick wall corner. Fri May 31, 2024 6:20 am
Okay, so the other day I was out in the shed to tidy up. However, there are so many things out there. While looking around fro stuff to throw out in the recycling bin, I came across this piece of wood.
As you can see for the picture, it's quite large. I think at one time it may've been a lower bed drawer? Anyway, it got me thinking. One of the biggest problems, I've found with flat pack walls, is trying to create a corner. So I figured. I could make a corner from that piece of wood. I soon realized though, that I'd need bricks, and there was no way I was going to be able to rout the brick lines out. The answer? trusty hardboard of course! This time though, I'm going to make the bricks.
After chopping the piece of wood in half and screwing it together, I had my corner.
Here is a shot of a figure stood next to it.
After cutting down the hardboard into brick shapes, I started to glue them on to the corner.
So, thats as far as I got, more progress pics to follow soon. I need to cut out more bricks, pick up some sand, and get more paint for the base coat.

Wow! Nice mitre saw!
What tool did you use to cut the long rows of hardboard? The original hardboard looks too wide to fit in the mitre saw.
What type of glue are you using to affix the brick faces to the wood backdrop? Do you need to clamp or weight the brick faces while the glue sets?
