Subject: Mêlée Weapons Challenge! Mon Jul 01, 2024 10:00 am
Show a picture or picture of one or more of your figures either holding a mêlée weapon or engaging in close combat with one. Acceptable weapons include all edged weapons, pole arms, axes, baseball or cricket bats, chainsaws, improvised zombie killer weapons. Rifles are okay if a bayonet is attached to the end of it, but no shooting is allowed.
Suki's wit isn't the only thing that's razor-sharp. In reality, most sword fights end very quickly I think. It's nothing like in the movies. My analysis of watching HEMA (Historical European Martial Arts) fencing matches where participants fight not with fencing foils, but with purpose-made blunt sabers and swords that emulate historical weapons is that participants tend to suffer what would be disabling hits in real life often after only a few moves.

That reminds me of a Monty Python movie that I've only seen once, 40 years ago. The Black Knight said that when half of his limbs had been cut off.
Was it Monty Python and the Holy Grail? I saw it with a friend when I was young, at the Terrace Taphouse Theater. Unfortunately it's the only scene I remember. Being a movie with the beer flowing, it's the only scene I remember because I found it hilarious.
I vaguely remember him saying "Tis a scratch" or something like that.
Hmmm... ... I think the girls would look cute in German-style uniforms, especially Suki. (Hoshi already looks like a Desert Fox - give her a pair of goggles and she's good to go!)
Nice of them to send Bambi back to her original owner rather than playing kickball with her noggin.
