You've done a great job! It looks like a 1:1 scale antique in photo 3 and 4.

Thank you thierry that's very kind of you, I didn't think it would turn out as well as it has it took a lot of thought but I think its almost there now

Thanks mate glad you like it, there was a lot of trial and error in making this but its all falling into place, I thought the rifle would crack and fall apart as I was drilling it with a fishing boilie drill (a hand small drill bit in a slim metal screwdriver handle) but it was made of stronger stuff

Cheers Jim I think it was more luck than judgement lol I picked up the materials I wanted to make it from because of the size it needed to be light weight, then I gave this to James who made the original shape then I carved and sanded it until it was a shape of the original flintlock rifles I'm very pleased with it and glad you like it, I still have a few ideas for this kitbash so watch this space

Cheers Mark it's taken a bit of time but we really enjoyed to make the rifle, I'm still trying to transform the Hawkeye figure, Ive modeled him on the late 60's early 1970's last of the Mohicans series that was shown on BBC1 on a Sunday afternoon, in this series Hawkeye wore a coonskin hat as I've tried to make, I remember watching this series at my Grans house as we had Sunday tea time, Ive recently acquired the DVD from eBay so will be having a walk trip the Albion when I can get some goggle box time

Cheers mark mate lol I hadn't intended it to be a Davy Crocket bash lol but I suppose he was famous for the raccoon skin hat lol my aim was to make the original (pre Daniel Day Lewis) Hawkeye from the last of the Mohicans as seen in the early films he too had the coon hat

Update to my Hawkeye kitbash La Longue Carabine James has made me a Tomahawk and a pair of Hunting/fighting knives I'm really pleased with this new bits of kit
