Hawkeye's Longue Carabine

outstanding work on the edged weapons , could james do a tutorial on them please please please

Cheers Jay yes he's a clever fella he tapped the blades out of some aluminium rods he'd picked up and he carved the tomahawk handle out of a piece of dowel he copied them from a picture of actual full size weapons

Cheers Jim the blades were just tapped out on a cobblers last with a little hammer, he made them out of aluminium rod then filed them and shaped them I think he used a dremel tool too but he heated them up to age them so really it's down to the individual skill at tinkering

New powder horn I've just adapted from an old necklace I found in a charity shop



Here's Hawkeye "Le Longue Carabine" with a powder horn full of black powder armed to the teeth, out in the wilds at the front of fort William Henry ready to defend against a marauding Huron war-party

Yes Jim the day after my hernia op I spent part of the morning and all afternoon watching the full series it was great, and the scene was in it where they all empty the remainder of the powder horns into Hawkeye's so he has only one last shot it was excellent and well made back in the day, Have you had the chance to see it again
