| Go Green -- Go Clivvers!!! Wonderful walkaround, Clive, I really enjoyed it! RE: the face paints, I've noticed the eyes on these 40th figures, the paint work doesn't completely fill in the area and give them a bit of a squinty look. (I think I've read some fellers here mention it) Some of the earlier reissues have larger eyes. The sculpts are the same but it's the paint work that makes them slightly different. I have read others complain about the complexion/paint color of the bodies as being a little grey, but I never much noticed it myself. Thanks for the review and wonderfully artistic presentation! | Well done Clive! 40th Joes are one of my favourite figure types. I have a 'few' in my collection. They're as sturdy and well made as a vintage Joe and you gotta love the sleepy-eyed head sculpt! _________________ Life moves pretty fast. They're as sturdy and well made as a vintage Joe and you gotta love the sleepy-eyed head sculpt! That's it: "sleepy-eyed" I knew squinty wasn't right... Clive, you worked in the G. I. Joe song they used to play in the commercials. A couple girls (one of whom I had a hopeless crush on) in my 4th grade class "found out" that my friend and I liked Joes. When they walked by us they would sing: "G. I. Joe, G. I. Joe got a muscle in his toe..." Brian | |
