You've now got me wondering how many of the chad Valley boys I still have left ( I gave quite a few away ). I know that I have some spare mam heads....hmmmm...I wonder

That is an excellent upgrade Kev I'm slowly working thru my stock of The Chad valley guys..I've done some bad head swaps with the latest Action Man..It's a learning process ..or I'm just a bit crack handed A fair few of mine have ended up with Grandson number 1..Grandson number 2 is still in Thomas the Tank territory

Latest VAM recruit to HQ. I was lucky to get him cheap on some local sales boards.
Not in great condition but can be cleaned up nicely I think.
The pants are from the Indian Brave set but are badly stained with what looks like leaked biro ink.
Body is in good shape bar a right forearm split.
Head will be scrubbed, stripped and re-flocked. I'm due in some 2mm rayon fibres next day or two to do a few for Chip and will get a couple of my own done also.
Here he is stripped down after a light pre-clean

This guy has a "never give up" look in his eye! Hoping to see more of him after his trip to the hair salon!

IF....and only "if", methylated spirits doesn't work on that biro, I'd go to carbon tetrachloride. Be careful with it. Pad underneath and Q-tip work on top.
THAT'S ONLY IF IT IS ACTUALLY BIRO. Just going by the photo it looks more like fountain pen ink to me.

Finally got round to flocking this guy with the ink stained Indian pants
Body restrung and pants cleaned after a lengthy cold water soak.

Yes, I suspected as much. Must have been ordinary ink rather than biro. To me the colour looked odd for biro. Fantastic resurrection Kev, ....well done!

The gray flock really works for him. He looks ready for adventure in that classic outfit you have put him in.
